Yan Li, Ph.D.

Executive Director of Scientific Programs

Yan Li is a Executive Director of Scientific Programs at Shanda group focus on venture capital investment and philanthropy. Yan is actively involved in the deal execution related to biotechnology and healthcare. Yan is Responsible for monitoring investment portfolio companies and managing LP-GP relationship.

 

Yan received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai. She spent six years as a postdoctoral fellow at Profession Fred H. Gage’s lab at the Salk Institute and then moved to Stanford where she worked with Professor Thomas Sudhof and Marius Wernig for two years. Prior to joining Chen Institute, Dr. Li worked at a startup company at Menlo Park, California.
